Learn about Patrick’s Musical journey

Patrick’s gratifying musical journey began at the age of nine when he received instruction from a member of the Phoenix Pipe Band, followed by training under Pipe Major Charles Burgin. Within just six months, he started competing in solo contests, quickly excelling and winning numerous awards, including first place in the under-21 catogory in his grade at the Western States Solo Championships.

As an active member of the Phoenix Pipe Band, Patrick serves as Pipe Sergeant of the Grade 5 band, where he helps players refine their skills and develop their ear for tuning. He is also a member of their top-tier Grade 3 band, for which he has composed harmonies for many pieces.

Patrick has showcased his talent at many large venues such as the Phoenix Orpheum Theater and State Farm Stadium. He also has had the privilege of entertaining distinguished government leaders, including the Vice President and President of the United States. Additionally, he has performed at numerous events, from funerals and weddings to birthday parties.

Continuing to compete regularly in both solo and band circuits, consistently delivering prize-winning performances, Patrick also enjoys composing and arranging music for the bagpipes.
